Insurance Plans or Self-Pay
I am recognised by Aviva, BUPA, Vitality Health, WPA and most of the main health insurance companies who all usually cover my fees. I cannot see patients insured by Benendon or AXA who only work with consultants below a certain fee limit.

Please check your policy for an excess or a yearly limit!

We cannot always claim on your behalf and may ask you to pay us and claim back from the company. Payment is always the responsibility of the patient.

Current charges are: £240 for a 40-minute new appointment, £180 for a 30-minute Botox treatment and and £130 for a 20-minute follow-up.

From 1st January 2025 the price for a new appointment will be rising to £250

If you are not insured I can accept credit/debit cards by telephone or Sumup. Payment is due prior to the appointment.

Some services attract additional charges:
Repeat precription fee: £20
Fee for medical report: £100-150
Late payment fee (7 days plus): £25

Please note due to the fixed costs of providing an outpatient neurology service, we have to charge a 50% fee if an appointment is booked but not attended or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Please let us know straight away if you can`t attend (I have a waiting list of patients who can take the appointment at short notice.)

Patients who repeatedly cancel appointments may be discharged back to their GP to allow more urgent cases to be seen.

I am not currently able to undertake medico-legal work.

It is possible to transfer between the private sector and the NHS without advantage or detriment (including for scans and tests). Details about transferring to NHS care are available
